Our International Engineering team is responsible for the major investment’s projects (Masterplan Projects) both Green Field and Expansion projects of our existing plants on international level. The scope of the Investments projects are Buildings, Technics and Equipment related with factories and warehouses; from the concept over execution and hand-over to our local team.

   

Our international team is as well responsible for the management of the utilities for all our plants and is in the lead of the energy plan reducing our energy consumption and CO2 emissions for the BU Frozen.

  

In this role you will lead and continuously improve LLBG's Cooling & HVAC standards, ensuring alignment, knowledge sharing, and best practices across all factories. You will support local teams in optimizing the performance, reliability, and energy efficiency of existing cooling and HVAC installations. You will also provide technical expertise and operational insights to support major engineering projects and ensure compliance with LLBG standards.

1) Engineering Standard for Cooling and HVAC

  • You lead the process of defining and writing our LLBG Standard for all Cooling Technologies and HVAC supported by our external designer responsible for writing the content
  • You consult key stakeholders within La Lorraine, from central team and / or local teams in order to get their inputs
  • You submit the Standard to the Governance Committee for their approval and tackle all comments received
  • After the approval received, you guarantee the proper communication towards our factories (via intranet, mails) and right archive, together with PM Standardization.
  • You are the SPOC of our LLBG Standard for Cooling and HVAC internally and you answer to all questions related with the content.
  • You collect all learnings coming from the plants to introduce them into our Standard as an improvements (following our internal rules)
  • You check possible new solutions on the market in terms of cooling; HVAC and you submit these ideas to the Engineering Director BU Frozen in order to assess them and to see if there is any interest on mid term and long term for LLBG.

    

2) Existing Cooling & HVAC Installations within LLBG

  • You support and control the local team who is accountable to drive properly their respective installation by introducing and monitoring some KPIs to measure the performance and the reliability of the installation; you identify the gaps and propose some actions plan to guarantee the best and optimum performance of the installation.
  • You control the application of the service agreement with our suppliers, you identify area to be improved and you submit them to the local team.
  • You work together with local team to identify optimizations that can be improved: energy consumption, optimization of the performance, …

    

3) Support for Masterplan projects

  • You will be requested by project managers in charge of Capex Masterplan projects to deliver inputs data’s related with the consumption of a current installation of cooling and HVAC (installed / used / requested capacities) : matrix of consumption, P&ID, technical sheets of installed equipment’s, available capacity for production lines and warehouses (Cold WH).
  • You deliver some learnings coming from plants to be integrated as part of the inputs datas for any new project.
  • You support the project manager to confirm that the input datas has been properly integrated into the design and you answer to the questions from the project manager during the process of tendering, execution and startup of the new installation
  • Some visits on the field are possible upon request of the project manager.
  • You are not accountable for the design of a new installation. It is the accountability of our external design office and/or contractor (depending on contracting strategy).

    

4) Best Practices to share

  • Being closely in contact with each plant, you identify the learnings important to be shared throughout the community of the utility’s specialist.
  • You document the best practices and make sure they are integrated into the new Standards
  • You control of their right execution on the overall scope of LLBG BU Frozen.

  

You are ready to learn about some other utilities such as steam, compressed air, water and gas in order to bring your support to the local team or the central team

You will directly report to the Engineering Director BU Frozen.

  • You hold a master’s degree in engineering (ideally mechanical)
  • You have expertise into the predominant technics applied in the industry (Cooling, HVAC); knowledge in other expertise is a plus
  • You have a min of 10 years of experience in an industrial /production environment
  • Your experience in the food industry and/or experience in a multi-site environment is a plus
  • You are very pragmatic, no-nonsense and entrepreneurial personality – with a very high execution power
  • You are a team player and have excellent communication skills
  • You are resistant to stress, perseverant and result oriented
  • Knowledge of English is a must; Dutch, German or French is a plus
  • You are willing to travel frequently (25 – 50%), mainly in Europe
