The Frozen International Purchase Team of La Lorraine Bakery Group is responsible for the purchase and product-development of bakery products which are not produced within our own production sites.

As a Purchase Manager you’ll be responsible for a portfolio of international 3rd party suppliers within the categories Savoury, Bread, Specialty Breads, … You’ll be responsible for managing active suppliers from A to Z, sourcing new suppliers, spotting new trends, developing new products according to these trends and completing our assortment with focus on Product Leadership and Sustainability.
In this role you’ll be able to combine your commercial skills with a passion for bakery products and will play a central role in the development of our Frozen Business Unit.

  • You are member of the central purchase team, working closely with the category manager, marketing, and sales departments in the different countries.
  • You are SPOC for a selection of international suppliers within the categories Bread, Specialty Breads, …
  • You are responsible for the annual negotiations: prices, conditions, ESG, follow-up Q and overall service level (supply…) related to your portfolio.
  • You follow-up the complete purchasing process for new articles and/or new suppliers: from request to validation and first delivery (eg ideation, sourcing, external product development, price negotiation, product Q assessment, contract validation).
  • You analyze, centralize and map supplier data in a structured way (product portfolio…).
  • You present new products and concepts to the international teams and share insights on market trends.
  • You have a strategic mindset, the ability to identify new growth opportunities and manage strong long-term collaborations.
  • You have a passion for food, you visit food fairs and 3rd party suppliers.
  • You will report directly to the Group Procurement Director Bakery, Frozen.
  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or several years of experience in food industry in a commercial function (fi key-account management).

  • You have the personality to manage and build relationships with all stakeholders.
  • You have an international mindset are willing to travel +/-20 % in Europe
  • You have excellent computer skills (MS Office)
  • You are fluently in English, other languages are a plus
