International NPD Manager Bread

As International NPD Manager for Bread, you lead and coordinate international innovation and renovation projects within the Bread product category. In this way, you directly contribute to the growth and development of the category, our markets, and LLBG.

 

  • Lead and coordinate key international innovation and renovation projects within the Bread category, ensuring delivery on time and in full.
  • Co-design and execute the short- and long-term innovation pipeline based on the international Bread category strategy, market insights, consumer needs and customer demands.
  • Translate project briefs into clear product briefs, defining product characteristics, quality requirements, claims, ingredients and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate prototype development, including raw material selection, product trials, validation, shelf-life testing, pricing input and claim verification.
  • Work closely with Group Technology, Operations and local teams to define production feasibility, investment needs, timelines and scale-up requirements.
  • Support the international category and marketing teams with product information, samples and technical input throughout the project and launch process.
  • Contribute to Bread category growth by tracking product performance after launch, monitoring industry trends, new technologies, ingredients and processes.
  • Act as a product expert within the NPD community by sharing best practices, supporting colleagues, onboarding new team members and joining customer meetings when NPD expertise is required.

 

 

 

  • Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field, such as Bio-engineering, Food Technology or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of experience in the bakery industry, with a strong focus on bread, including at least 5 years in coordinating complex Bread NPD projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of bread, bread ingredients, production processes and line capabilities within the bread sector.
  • Proven project management and coordination skills, with a strong sense of follow-up, planning and time management.
  • Experienced in product development within the Bread category, with a good commercial mindset and the ability to translate market needs into product solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate and influence across levels, countries and cultures in an international environment.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on team player with a passion for food, bakery products and building deep category expertise.
  • Fluent in English, with clear communication skills and the flexibility to travel approximately 25% of the time; experience in an international hub or sustainability programs is considered an asset.
