IT Manufacturing Applications Specialist

As a IT Manufacturing Applications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding the manufacturing data platform (and by extension the full manufacturing applications landscape) across all production plants, ensuring seamless data flows, process improvements and actionable insights.

  • Lead the rollout and daily operation of the Manufacturing Data Platform across multiple production lines and sites, ensuring stability and performance.
  • Translate operational needs into digital solutions, acting as a key link between production, engineering, and IT teams.
  • Manage and optimize data flows between machines, MES, ERP systems, and the Manufacturing Data Platform using industrial protocols like MQTT, OPC-UA, and AMQP.
  • Design, document, and expand the Manufacturing Applications system landscape, promoting best practices for data collection, storage (InfluxDB), and visualization (Grafana).
  • Support digital transformation projects within Manufacturing & Quality, providing training, documentation, and user support for smooth adoption.
  • Contribute to standardizing IT/OT architecture and develop scalable solutions to accommodate new data sources and users.

You will be part of the corporate IT team and report to the Business Applications Manager Manufacturing.

  • Degree in Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Statistics, or a related field, with a passion for Industry 4.0 and food manufacturing technologies.
  • Practical experience in IT/OT environments managing platforms like InfluxDB, MQTT/AMQP brokers, Grafana, and containerized deployments.
  • Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (MQTT, AMQP, OPC-UA) and event-driven data integration.
  • Analytical, structured, and pragmatic problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Fluent in Czech and English, flexible to travel within Europe for project assignments (20% of time)
