Quality Operations Manager

La Lorraine Bakery Group has the mission to be Product Leader. Innovation and Sustainable High Quality of our products are key for our organization. Furthermore the operations should be executed according to a set of standards as set by Group Quality Compliance. The Quality Operations Manager will support the Local Quality Departments of the Business Unit Frozen plants in this mission and will make sure that our LLBG quality standards and product leadership philosophy is also assured in future growth areas and new International Key Accounts.

Your function:

You will be responsible for the support of the local quality departments:

  • Guardian over the QA and Food Safety principles in the local plants, including certifications.
  • Analysis of data over lines and plants, set up of trends, follow-up of KPI’s and action plans, in close collaboration with the local quality teams.
  • Report quality dashboard to the business on regular base.
  • Upgrade the necessary hygiene, food safety and manufacturing practices in the local plants.
  • Improving, harmonization and uniformization of all quality processes, procedures and work instructions (e.g. allergen management, etc).
  • Set-up, coordination and reporting of product evaluation sessions.
  • Set-up of supplier and raw material quality management (QA/QC).
  • General support on serious complaints, micro analyses, etc.
  • Promote and communicate our quality initiatives and achievements.

You will also be responsible for the quality system implementation:

  • Realization of some important (IT related) quality projects.
  • Implementation of LLBG quality system, standards & reporting, in line with existing plants, in all new bakeries or production lines of LLBG (including M&A).
  • Quality support in new dossiers for International Key Accounts.
  • Follow-up of sustainability requests and audits in all existing bakeries (e.g. RSPO, UTZ, etc).
  • Hand-over best practices within the company from one site to another.

As Quality Operations Manager you will report to the Product Leadership Manager within Operations BU Frozen.

Your profile:

  • Experience as Senior Quality Manager in the food industry.
  • Preferably experience in a similar role, overseeing a multi-site/team environment.
  • You have well-developed leadership skills and are familiar with indirect leadership and managing teams remotely.
  • Drive and personality to build relationships with all stakeholders involved (Quality, Production, R&D, NPD, Procurement and Suppliers).
  • Capability to influence and create commitment to implement best practices.
  • Excellent project management and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to manage crisis situations.
  • You have a dynamic, hands-on, no-nonsense and entrepreneurial personality.
  • Punctual and analytical, with good computer skills.
  • Willing to travel (short, but frequent trips)
  • You are fluent in English (both written and spoken).
