International Project Engineer (Investment Department)

Your tasks

In this role, you translate the need for the growth of our Frozen business unit in investment projects. You are the driving force behind the briefing from the business, the tendering of the projects and the final choices which need to be cost effective, need to deliver the right quality and are sustainable. You watch over the timely and in full delivery. You have a full view on all ongoing projects. You manage the portfolio and report to the Group Engineering Manager on a monthly basis. You set forward our standards and the Best Practices in project management and enforce them throughout the organization.

Your responsibilities in this role are :
 
  • From the start of the project, you define the deliverables of the project, you assemble the project team composed of people from production, safety, quality, technical services and you make up a detailed schedule to achieve the deadline.
  • After receiving a briefing from the Group Engineering Manager, you make up a concept of the equipment, follow-up the design and lead the tendering process, assuring good communication with the suppliers about the project’s requirements and the right alignment internally.
  • You manage the project with respect of our standards (safety, quality, electricity, mechanic, automation etc.) and, if there are any deviations, you take the necessary actions and decisions
  • You are responsible for the follow-up of the supplier contract and the budget and you anticipate any deviations (timing and spending) by taking actions.
  • You are responsible for all safety aspects related to the execution and completion of the project.
  • Finally, you handover the project to the department who will own the delivered project (training, documentations, drawings, specifications, spare parts list etc.)
 

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in technical area (production engineering, mechatronics, robotics etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in coordination of investment projects for production industry
  • You are fluent in English (at least B2 level)
  • You are happy to travel 25%-50% of the time according to the needs
  • You have strong interest in production processes
  • Pragmatic approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Empathy is an important value for you
  • You are resistant to stress, able to work under time pressure
  • Innovative, perseverant and results oriented
